Local school excels in poster competition
2009-12-16
The Flower Valley Early Learning Centre is one of twelve eco-schools which recently won R10 000 each in the Tetra Pak poster competition to put toward their school’s environmental projects.
Winning posters illustrating the theme Reject, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, will be featured in Tetra Pak’s 2010 calendar.
To enter the competition, schools had to be registered with the WESSA/WWF Eco-Schools Programme for 2009, a national programme encouraging environmental learning and continuous improvement of the school environment.
Flower Valley’s Early Learning Centre was the first pre-school in the Overberg District to be awarded the green Eco-Schools flag for its environmental project portfolio.

F.l.t.r.: Jayden Philander, Lara Strydom, Chadlyn Dunstan, Vernon-Lee Abrahams and Mckayla Adams of the Flower Valley Early Learning Centre show their school’s winning poster.
