MAKE A DONATION
Protect an animal that lives in the fynbos on Flower Valley Farm including the Leopard, Padloper and Western Leopard Toad. To help protect these animals, donate an amount of your own choice to Flower Valley. As a donor, you will receive a certificate of recognition, our quarterly newsletter to bring you up to date on the latest news, and your name will appear on our annual report.
You can adopt a hectare of fynbos, and protect all the critically endangered fynbos species found in it, much of this found only here. The farm is home to a number of endangered species, such as the Bredasdorp Conebush. As a donor, you will receive a certificate of recognition, our quarterly newsletter to bring you up to date on the latest news, and your name will appear on our annual report.
Flower Valley’s Early Childhood Development Centre teaches up to 20 young learners every year, offering them a secure learning environment and good nutrition. Some of our scholars are children of farm workers and flower pickers working in the surrounding area, while others live in rural communities around the farm. As such, some of the children’s parents cannot afford the school fees.
The Stinkhoutsbos Forest has shrunk by more than half between 1938 and 2011. Prisoners of war were tasked with cutting down the trees in the 1940s, and more recently the forest has been ravaged by wildfires. Now the forest is a priority for conservation action, with a Forest Restoration Project aiming to plant five hectares worth of indigenous trees, to cover the area lost in the past century.
