THIS PRE-SCHOOL COULD CLOSE ITS DOORS IN JUST 2 MONTHS…

NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP TO KEEP 28 CHILDREN IN ‘SCHOOL’.

We need to raise R44,000 to keep the doors open for another year.

  • TARGET REACHED 3% 3%

The Dolfyntjies Early Childhood Development Centre is located in Eluxolweni in Pearly Beach.

Here Principal Joemarie and her assistant teacher care for 28 children between the ages of 3 and 5.

BUT: The Eluxolweni neighbourhood is experiencing the effects of unemployment, crime, lack of opportunities, migration and substance abuse. More than 100 children between 0 and 5 years are growing up here.

Dolfyntjies is the only pre-school here to care for these children.

Parents are struggling to pay the R80 monthly school fees.
Within 2 months, this centre could close its doors.

That’s why we need your help. Help keep these 28 children in ‘school’, cared for in this loving environment.

DONATE HERE. 100% of your funds keeps the Dolfyntjies Centre OPEN.

Why is Early Childhood Development so important?

Life’s early years lay the foundations for health, happiness and optimal growth.

We know how important it is for young children to grow up in an environment that supports:

  1. Optimum Health
  2. Nutrition
  3. Responsive Care
  4. Safety and Security
  5. Learning Stimulation

Without it, children may not reach their full potential. ECD Centres act as a buffer, supporting children to grow in a way that allows for optimum nurturing care.

Every child has the right to an environment of nurturing care.

The purpose the Flower Valley ECD programme is to increase access to good quality Early Childhood Development. We are active in both Home and Centre based ECD, supporting those elements that make up an enabling environment for young children.
