Flower Valley Early Learning Centre: Centre Manager & Practitioner in Early Childhood Development. Flower Valley’s Early Learning Centre (Pre-school) is based on Flower Valley Farm, just outside of Gansbaai in the Western Cape. The pre-school provides a holistic education for children aged between two and six, in a
loving, safe environment. The Centre forms part of Flower Valley Conservation Trust’sEarly Childhood Development (ECD) Programme – a broader programme rolled out across five centres based in the Overstrand district. The Centre is now in need of a Centre Manager/Practitioner.
Responsibilities include: Effective planning & delivery of the learning programme and care for children in the class; Compliance with health & safety standards; Child observation & assessment plans and implementation; Homevisits when required; Represent the Centre on all platforms; Financial management; Personnel management; Reports to parents, donors and other stakeholders; Communications with parents, Trust staff, and relevant stakeholders (including media); Fundraising strategy and implementation; Meetings with SGB, staff and other; Business plan monitoring and management; Participation in the Flower Valley ECD Programme as a demonstration site.
Requirements: Minimum NQF-level 5 qualification in ECD; Minimum three years experience with management capacity; Loving and motivated; Excellent communications skills; Bilingual (English & Afrikaans); Computer literate; Code 8 Driver’s licence.
Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
